A free shuttle service that operates around UAB’s campus, connecting various academic buildings, medical facilities, parking areas, and other key locations. It runs multiple routes throughout the day, making it easy to navigate the campus without a car.
Blazer Express Safety Escort
The UAB Blazer Express Safety Escort provides late-night, on-demand van service for UAB students and employees from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. every day. UAB students and employees must present their UAB ID badge to be transported. Visitors can use the service when accompanied by a card-carrying student or employee. Use the TransLoc app or call 205-934-3514 to request a ride on campus.
Airport Shuttles
Groome Transportation provides shuttle services to and from Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport, connecting travelers to various destinations in the region. This service is ideal for UAB students, staff, and visitors needing reliable airport transportation.

- Veo Scooters: Electric scooters are available for rent on campus through Veo, offering a convenient and quick way to navigate UAB and the surrounding area. Users are encouraged to practice safety, including wearing helmets and following traffic rules, to ensure a secure riding experience.
- Walking & Biking: UAB’s pedestrian-friendly campus encourages walking and biking, with designated pathways and bike racks available throughout the area. Practicing safety, such as using designated crosswalks and staying aware of traffic, is important.
